However, the Facebook application has a setting that saves you valuable data called Data Saver. When you enable this setting, Facebook will compress the images that appear on your timeline. In addition, it will stop any videos that are playing automatically. This will help you reduce the amount of unnecessary storage when using Facebook. Fortunately, this installation is easy to find.

Open the Facebook application and look at the top right corner of the screen. You will see 3 stacked dash icons, click on it to open the Facebook menu. You will see many different settings. Scroll down, find Data Saver and click it.

    Activate Data Saver On

You will see a Data Saver On option displayed. When you enable this feature, another option will appear as Always Turn Off Data Saver on WiFi. This option will be enabled by default. If you are using Wi-Fi and have a data meter, you can disable this option.

    Instagram

From here, you need to navigate to the Options menu by clicking the jagged icon (on some devices, you will see a 3 dot vertical symbol). Scroll down until you see the Mobile / Cellular Data Use option. Click on it and another screen will appear with the Use Less Data option. Click it to finish.

    Click Use Less Data

Note: This feature is enabled only when you use mobile data. This means that when you connect to Wi-Fi, the Use Less Data feature will be disabled.
