You want to let someone see the content posted on your Facebook or search for something that your friend posted or a post you liked, commented on. However, it was hard to search in Timeline full of posts ever. So this article will introduce 5 tools to help you find anything on.
Search features and tips are available on Facebook
Before installing and allowing a third-party application to access Facebook, try out the features available on Facebook. If the Timeline scrolls to search, you should know that by default Facebook does not display all your posts or your friends. Even if you click on a particular year at the top right, you will only see Highlights. To see all posts from that year, click the down arrow to the right of Highlights and click All Stories.
When searching for old posts, you may see some posts you no longer want to be public or visible to your friends. To limit all previous posts that only friends can view, click the drop-down menu at the top bar. Then select Settings> Privacy (left bar)> Who can see my stuff? > Limit Past Posts and click the Limit Old Posts button.
Graph Search
Graph Search is one of the best "hidden". It is a great feature added to Facebook in 2013 and continues to impress users based on what it can find.
You can do a simple search using "my posts" or search for more details like "my posts about [topic]". You can also search for posts from friends on your Timeline or their Timeline posts. See for more details.
Activity Log
The Activity Log is where you can search for posts. It offers a number of options to search: posts, tagged posts, other people's posts, hidden posts, photos on the Timeline, your photos, all your photos and all posts posted already liked and commented. You can access this information from Facebook Timeline or from Facebook.com/me/allactivity.
Facebook applications and websites
There are a few third-party applications that offer search functionality on Facebook.
first.
In addition to searching for your own Timeline, you can also use it to search your friends' Timeline, the groups you join and the pages you follow.
Archivedbook is a website where you can connect to Facebook to see all the old posts, but it can find even more like all of your friends' posts. On the website, you will have a number of options to categorize what to display: your post and status, other people's posts to your Timeline, photos, videos, locations, pages, notes and your event.

Users can also sort how results are displayed by clicking on the drop-down menu on the right and choosing to show newer or older items or follow the most favorite posts or commented.
The only downside of Archivedbook is that it does not save loaded articles. That seems like a good thing, but when you click on any other option (in addition to the drop-down menu at the top right), it will reload the entire list. In addition, you can also set a specific time frame to display posts.
Tip: To search for a post, just use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F.
Ideally, users should try to perform a search using Facebook's available features before using a third-party application. However, QSearch is a great tool for finding things quickly and it has several sorting options. Using Archivedbook is also great, but the waiting time for the results is a bit long.
