Yesterday (May 1) at the F8 development conference, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook is about to launch an online dating feature to help Facebook users have more opportunities to connect with people. People who have not made friends on Facebook can date in a separate, secret environment.
There are about 200 million Facebook users who consider themselves single. This is the motivation for Facebook to help users build serious and long-term relationships.
Facebook also promised to ensure privacy so that friends could not view the user's personal "dating" profile.
Let's find out if Facebook's new dating feature is cool!
Dating features will be available in the Facebook application. To participate, users click on the heart icon on the top right of the screen. You will be taken to "Dating Home".
At "Dating Home", users will create dating profiles. Of course their friends will not be able to see it and it will not appear on the News Feed and only those who join the dating will see it.
And its temporary interface looks like this:
Below are events in the city or groups related to personal interests.
If you "unlock" an event, you and the attendees who are using the dating service will have the right to view each other's profiles.
If you are interested in someone and want to get acquainted, click "interested".
When you choose "interest", to start the conversation you can choose one of the photos from someone else's profile.
If the audience decides to answer, they will be sent a secure and confidential message in their own inbox that is not connected to WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.
Private mailbox interface.
The special thing is, only single people can use Facebook's dating feature. It will "unavailable" to people who are in a relationship with another person (dating, married ...).
Facebook will soon provide this feature to users but there is no specific time yet.
